Although not compulsory, it is advisable to complete the Manicure Course before the Nail Extension Course.

One Day - 10.00 am - 4.00 pm approx.

The day is a very good starting point to becoming a good all round Nail Technician.

MANICURE

You will learn:

· Hygiene for your client
· Treatable and untreatable nail conditions
· Anatomy and physiology of nail and surrounding skin
· Client consultation
· Cuticle work
· Correct method for filing and shaping
· Basic treatment and manicure
· Hand and Arm massage
· Application of French Polish
· Removal of Polish
· Advice on home care products


A certificate will be awarded on completion of the course

PEDICURE

· Health, Hygiene and Safety
· Anatomy and physiology: structure of the nail, skeletal structure of the foot and lower leg, muscles of the lower leg, arches of the foot, nail disorders, nail diseases and disorders, skin diseases
· Implements and Products
· Preparation of room, trolly and client
· Contra-indications / Contra Actions
· Consultations / Record Cards
· Benefits of pedicure
· Massage Movements
· Practical Tuition in Pedicure: filing, cuticle work, callous removal, application of polish etc.
· Massage of the foot and lower leg
· Aftercare advice


A Certificate will be awarded on completion of the Course
